What was involved
A Logistics & Storage warehouse approached us to design and install a reliable Wi-Fi solution for their brand-new warehouse, ensuring seamless connectivity for their handheld scanners and day-to-day operations.
Following an on-site survey, we carefully planned the access point locations to provide strong, consistent coverage while keeping all equipment safely out of the way. The system was designed with three separate Wi-Fi networks (SSIDs) for staff, drivers, and guests, each with its own secure access.
A total of eight Ruijie access points were installed throughout the warehouse and mounted at high level. To achieve this, custom RSJ mounting brackets were fabricated to ensure the access points were securely fixed and robust enough for the environment.
All data cabling was routed discreetly at high level and installed with safety in mind. Metal cable ties were used throughout, ensuring that in the event of a fire, cables would remain secured and not pose a hazard to emergency services. Installation was carried out using a cherry picker (Manitou) supplied by the business, allowing for a neat, professional finish.
The warehouse is now fully covered with strong, reliable Wi-Fi, enabling staff to work efficiently and without interruption using their scanners across the entire site.
