What was involved
The customer based in Cropthorne, Worcestershire was experiencing frequent broadband dropouts on their Openreach connection, making it difficult to work from home and affecting day-to-day internet use. They contacted us looking for a faster, more reliable solution that would provide a stable connection for both work and home life.
We installed a Starlink system as a replacement for the existing BT broadband service, carefully routing all cabling through the loft to ensure a clean, discreet installation with minimal cables externally. To maximise space, the Starlink router was installed in the loft, and we utilised the property’s existing CAT5e cabling to deliver the internet connection back to the communications cupboard, where it connects seamlessly into the existing network switch. The result is a fast, reliable broadband connection with a tidy, professional finish.
To improve Wi-Fi coverage throughout the property, we also installed three access points in key locations. Two were hardwired back to the network for the best possible performance. Due to the location of the third access point, running a new data cable wasn’t practical, so this was configured using a wireless mesh connection. Despite this, we were still able to achieve strong speeds and reliable coverage in that area.
